I used to paint abstract as well plus the odd drawing...lol none very good but I enjoyed it, will get back to it one day.
I have HBF too (they covered $4,300) and I was out of pocket in excess of $2,000 (Non-scheduled fees) which really piddled me off as I've never used my HBF for anything bar the dentist!
lol The stocking, yeah I had those too but borrowed my Dads as he's just had a knee replacement. Enjoy your 14 days off dlux ;)
