Telephone only.....contract notes mailed out...from memory 7 day settlement..ie post your check in...and if you were desperate one would hope they went up quickly....Then paper certificates were mailed out to you which you had to mail back on sale to close the deal.I still have paper certificates for Seeko Nickel which went bust in the Poseidon crash....and collectors of those things tell me they are now worth what I paid for the shares!!!But I keep one of the Certificates on my trading desk to remind me of Murphy's Law.
