Unfortunately I don't think Nuclear would have helped here any more.. The plants exist and operate; but the water in the pipes for cooling and transfer was just straight up frozen.
Though I'm sure this will emphasise the necessity for a higher level of base power output being available on the grid that any other form of 'green' energy seems all yet capable of providing.
