No precedent as far as I know and I can't see it happening either. I just think it would be a massive tick and vote of confidence if they came out and said "Look, we know the the last few years have been tough and the fund hasn't performed as well as we would have hoped but we have faith in our systems etc.... and as a sign of the faith we will not take performance fees until we reach $2.75".
