"Brokerage Marex Spectron says the net long copper position on the Shanghai futures exchange is more than 100,000 lots."
.. and, "to limit global warming to a 1.5C rise, Glencore reckons the mining industry will have to produce an extra 1m tonnes of copper a year between now and 2050. To put that figure in perspective, output increased by 500,000 tonnes between 2010 and 2019."
