It seems some of the instruction have been interpreted as HTML. Lets try again:

Go to Start/Run/, then type in drive and directory you want to start deleting files from, e.g. c:(forward slash)data.

This will start up the DOS prompt at the drive and directory entered, then either change to the next directory (CD directory-name) and start deleting files, e.g. del *.*, etc.
