yes my current take on WWII is that it was the result of a covert competition between "frenemies" the US and the UK. The UK initially wanted to use the Nazis to destroy the USSR, and ran influence operations in the US to end isolationism and bring it onto the UK's side - what is now called "globalism". The US wanted to take down the UK and its Empire either via a Nazi invasion, or by occupying the UK on the pretext of liberating Europe. Both the US and UK financed the Nazis, attempting to gain influence. Hitler, like the Keiser before him, was an Anglophile. Amazing how the UK ended up fighting two world wars against Germany! The US ultimately won but Churchill is a national hero because he saved the UK from invasion even tho his beloved Empire was finished but continues defacto via influence operations and high finance - the US 2020 election being a prime example.
