VMG have been working on a 500mil development project being undertaken by Maryborough Sugar Factor (MSF) in Granville, Maryborough (generally known as Port Maryborough). Advice from David King of the Fraser Coast Council indicates that the required town planning instrument (Granville Structure Plan) will be complete by external consultants in about three weeks, at which point it will go to council for formal adoption. This will allow the 500mil development project to proceed - the implication is that VMG is likely to have a lot more work on its books in the near term. MSF raised 40mil last year to develop this site and other projects last year.
