Interest rates going to 5-7% short term (3 years)
That's a big call. Care to give some grounding to your prediction?
APT's business model relies on 4% generated per 6 week cycle, or >34% per annum.
I wonder if a higher interest environment will further encourage people into BNPL as opposed to CC?
Even if your scenario of 5-7% happened, my view would be that other BNPL players would be more vulnerable to higher interest rates than APT (based on their business models which have significant point of difference to APT). It could actually accelerate APT's growth from the effect of fleeing from CC and picking up customers from less "robust" BNPL providers.
