In case any lurkers are interested in the Interactive Brokers fiasco...I just got off the dog with them.

They said the ITM options will usually be exercised automatically but it is a good idea to lodge a ticket with them a few days before expiry to inform them of the action so there is "smoother sailing". The funds for the exercising will be taken from your IB trading account.

Another option (no pun) I am considering is a stock transfer to one of my Aussie brokers, just so there is no potential for a man-in-the-middle stuff-up.
