That has been the average PE for VMT. Difficult to compare to peers in Australia as there are no other listed EV manufacturers.
NIU Technologies listed in USA was trading around PE 160 on Nasdaq. Cannot compare Nasdaq to ASX which is conservative in comparison.
PE can also change based on growth rate. For instance, if the business increases growth rate from 50% YOY to 100% YOY there should be an increase in PE value or a decrease if it was the other way around.
As an example, APX was trading on high PE 80+ due to consistent high revenue growth rate. Recently the growth has stalled due to Covid & the business re-rated down to PE 40+. It will eventually return to normal as the cause was covid & not the business fundamentals.
