Redbank Copper Limited Quarterly Activities Report – 30 September 2015 REDBANK
The Company is currently planning toundertake deep diamond drilling at the Redbank project targeting the depthextensions of Bluff and Sandy Flat breccia pipes for additional copperresources. Both resources are currently drilled to around 250 to 300m belowsurface, with most of the chalcopyrite mineralisation infilling the brecciamatrix. The mineralisation is mostly hosted within the trachytes of the GoldCreek Volcanics unit, with the lower-most 50m-100m hosted in the WollogorangFormation, consisting of mostly dolomitic sediments. Higher grade mineralisation within the brecciapipe is observed at and below the lithology boundary of the two units, and isopen at depth.
No drilling since 2015, its open at depth and look at the percentage in the picture below 39 metres @ 5.7 % Cu.
At present, the global average copper ore grades for copper mines is approximately 0.62% of Cu content and this number is expected to decrease as mines with higher ore grades become exhaustedThe planned drilling will testmineralisation tenor into the lower Wollogorang, where the sediments aregenerally more organic rich, and likely contribute to a more reducing localenvironment, which is desirable for the precipitation of copper sulfides fromthe mineralising fluids. The drilling is also designed to test the SettlementCreek Dolerite contact and unit for mineral potential in the immediate vicinityof the breccia pipes (Figure 2). Planning for this drilling required anextension of the Mine Management Plan (MMP) for the current year, which hasbeen granted by the DMP. With limited time available before the onset of thewet season, a single Reverse Circulation (RC) pre-collared diamond hole ofaround 500m length is planned at each deposit; with a deeper hole (around 600mdepth) at each deposit contingent on outcomes from the previous hole.
Its my understanding that this would have been some ofthe deeper drilling at the deposit. When I was talking to one of the Geosworking at Redbank he commented that themajority of holes are well under 100 metres in depth. None of this drilling hasbeen done. No drilling since 2015
An additional RC hole of around 200mis planned to test a depth extension to the shallow (approximately 70m) Princeresource, which is open atdepth; should site conditions permit identify significant additional coppermineralisation outside the current resource inventory.
A newreview of all project data on the main tenement hosting the currently definedcopper resources (ELR94) by geological personnel with a history of discovery onthe tenure has highlighted a number of priority targets for drilling in thenext field season, to be included in the upcoming MMP for 2016. Work compiling the2012 50m spacing aeromagnetics with geochemistry, drilling and gravity data hashighlighted a number of priority targets for additional breccia pipemineralisation, in particular the relatively unexplored Southern area of thelease (Figure 4).
Thesouthern part of the lease is where RCP have done more soil sampling in 2020 -see below
Priority targets considered to have a highlikelihood of deliveringdrill intercepts of sulphide mineralisation from a central breccia core includeRidgeback, Charlie, Chauvel, White and Bridges (previously named An11). Inaddition a review of targets such as Camp Valley, Roman nose and in thevicinity of Punchbowl has highlighted the potential for additional resourcesalong cross structures close to the main Redbank-Bluff Trend.
Extensions with numerous – ‘pipe-like’signature identified from the 2012 aeromagnetics immediately east of ELR94;and targets identified to the west of the trend as it goes under theunconformable cover (approximately 50m thick) of the Echo Sandstone (previouslycalled Masterton Formation).
So the overall theme is shitloads of Breccia pipes that are already known, potentially many still to be found and many that have not daylighted. The drilling thats been done is generally shallow. Deeper drilling of already mineralized pipes needs to be completed and they state they are "open at depth". Reading the above shows they have targets everywhere and thats just in a small area.
Most importantly thats not even mentioning the distinct possibility of stratabound copper.
