ME Bank might be a bit better in Queensland especially in the relatively affluent South East part of Queensland than the BOQ which probably annoys most of the Queensland population that BOQ wants to bank. Failure to pay debts, especially when it is a Government failing to pay another state, is quite bad for a regional bank’s reputation, death by association.

I think they should change the group name to ME Bank like NatWest bank did when Scotland and their Royal Bank of Scotland brand name got up people’s noses.

BOQ as a brand name is dead, associated now with a rather extremist minority party, failure to pay debts, which outside Queensland does not go down so well, especially in the affluent NSW state, Victoria and South East Queensland.

so to get the SP in the right direction, they should ditch the name BOQ and go with ME Bank.
