The only good thing is the need for post-pandemic recovery the mine can provide for the area.
"Regis says the mine will create 600 jobs in construction and employ an average of 260 annually during 10 years of operation. The project would extract 2 million ounces of gold, processing some 8.5 million tonnes of ore a year to do so."
It looks like the locals are pretty determined to put up a fight against the project, they say the mine will affect agricultural factories, affect archeology of indigenous people and colonial heritage and destroy 12 springs. They can drag this project for years in courts, I feel bad for buying these shares and holding them for so long, The stupid management should work 24/7 to counter these issues.
