The loss was caused by write-offs which are no longer needed with the sale of Nifty and so we are seeing the ongoing activity come to the fore. However, much of the profit is from a reversal of the earlier impairment ($12M).
The latest figures have been obtained even with care and maintenance for Nifty (nearly $6M) and so the future looks bright, especially as the world price of tin has been increasing.
