If the Covid Coin (30m) and ACAD (70m) sale were not in the numbers , the loss would be closer to 90 odd mill ? But good on them for collecting it. No rules broken, so fair play. Carl probably held a little something back as well to help with next half report. Well that's what I'd do anyway )

They need to lift bottom line profit by about 70 million this half. The industry runs on 10-15% net profit so they need to lift sales by about 500 mill to break even if current operating costs remain.

The sales will/ have increased in Victoria (post covid), however when you drill in to the short term future a few things become apparent, HAIL coin from Canberra has all but stopped, IAG roll out will have some impact on volumes, Staff shortages are having a negative impact in several regions across Aust with no clear short term solution in site, 457's workforce option is all but over ( not that there was any real savings anyway) , add to this covid related challenges like parts supply lag, consumable supply shortages and inflationary pressure on total operating costs and its a tough jig.. not just for AMA, but the Auto industry and economy at large I guess.

But focusing on AMA share price, Carl has his work cut out. Little things like the loss of another key player Peter Bubeck are distractions that he doesn't need, losing 20-30 staff in a small region, meeting lenders expectations, the list goes on. Its not a well oiled machine in my opinion for the above reasons and more. ( sorry if some think I'm negative)
