Yes, on my left hand, finger nearest the little finger does the same.
Up until I was 18, I used to bite my nails like crazy, looked shocking.
My Father used to get right up me at times.
Not sure why, but after he got run down, died, I stopped.
At the time I was an apprentice and part of my trade included welding, hence I was doing my 6 mths in the welding shop.
For at least a week, when welding with the arc, rod etc, the end of the rod would be shacking like crazy lol.
Where as normally, I had a very steady hand.
Now then, even to this day, if I have the slightest bur, rough edge on a nail, I need to file it pretty much straight away.
If I don't, it will nag at me like, snip me off, bite me off
But you will never get it right, no matter how much you chomp lol.
It's like an addiction and never seems to leave you.
