HI HC members... just curious to ask if any one is using or has paid for a professional spreadsheet that you enter all your trades into for your own personal record keeping and reporting to your accountant at the end of the FY... I have been a full time equity trader for over 14 years.. at the end of each financial year I send a PDF file to my accountant with all my trades so she works out my taxable amount on my profits... I have a simple excel spreadsheet that I use to calculate my profit... however I would like to have something a little more professional on my PC... I haven't really had any issues with what I'm currently doing, but I do seem to put a lot of trust in my accountant.. would like something more professional for record keeping that is separate and stand alone from the broker platforms I use... plus I would like to enter all my trading investments in one place as I have a few trading platforms that I use to trade the ASX and International markets etc etc... IT doesn't need to be linked for live use... simply a record keeping platform that I can enter my buy and sells, the amounts and the date... it adds up all my buys and sells, shows my current profit that has been locked in for tax purposes etc.. would love to know what others are using for this type of record keeping... I tendency to do about 10-15 trades a week on average... any info or links would be greatly appreciated ... thanks in advance...

Hi, I have a such an excel spreadsheet that I would be happy to send to you. By way of background, I was a FCPA for over 30 years and this simple spreadsheet records all that you seem to be wanting. We then simply forwarded it to our accountant who then verified it our NAB annual reports. V
