The BNPL company receives say $4.50 in commission but takes on the credit risk for the $100. They will need really good credit vetting of the customers ability to pay before accepting the transaction.
I think that the growth of the BNPL business will create some good opportunities for Credit Corp and other debt collector to benefit from purchasing debt.
