That's one way to look at it. There's also the other side of the coin that huge 1.5-2M orders were being filled constantly before the TH, so some pretty wealthy holders now have large stacks of BPH, likely people who have a bit more knowledge than those on a public online forum.
There is a chance that all of them were just taking a punt on it, but I'd say that's pretty unlikely.
