i personally think Amex is dying out.
merchants slowly moving away from this, which I can see when I'm travelling or dining clients. "sorry we don't take Amex" . struggling to survive and stay relevant .... like blackberry, trying to hold on to their last segment / age group before being overtaken right before their eyes... blackberry thought it could keep the corporate monopolised, clearly not. credit cards, whilst forced with offset accounts on home loans, are mainly used by 60 year olds plus.... soon enough they will become obsolete in their current form
most people are even uploading their debit and credit cards to their phone and using Apple Pay.
drivers licenses are electronic
almost no need for a wallet soon enough
