How much of the Nickel price fall is the latest drop in share price and how much is the general sell off? There seems to be some price correlation between Nickel prices and NICs share price growth (with both climbing rapidly the last 12 months) but that could also be a coincidence. Nickel prices have climbed on demand and NIC has grown on the expansion of the business.
One thing that does seem concerning is looking at Nickel price charts the last 25 years; it turns south after a peak has formed with a drop in price. What we’ve seen in the last week with the large and rapid drop due to an apparent large increase in supply seems to suggest prices will head lower. Keen to hear other’s thoughts.
