I do not know its a fact in this case but I do know from personal experience of a landlord who would only take a personal guarantee with the tenants house as security rather than a lean against the newly listed retail company the person was the sole director of .
That person then sold the company to another individual who did not have a house , instead the new business owner had to put a some of money equal to 2/3 of their annual rent into a trust account as security for the landlord , so on both cases the company did not act as the security for the landlord .
