Marketing anything for free as a demo, trial, sample is normal. Not sure what the connection is to EM1?
80k people trying a service when you're marketing to your existing customer base of 250 million (as per EM1 announcements) is pretty average.
They've had 3 marketing campaigns now and still both the uptake and user retention is minimal.
