Yes this is good news. Given that we are all here to make money PLS needs to be in the ASX200 at the very least. If it were to remain in the ASX300 it would not have a market cap that would support a share price any or much higher than what it is now. In really rough terms if you are looking at an exit price of $2 PLS would have a market cap of around $5.5 b. $3 $8b plus. Companies with those sorts of market caps don't tiptoe around in the shallows i.e the ASX300. If you are looking for 2, 3 or more or bucks a share it is a case of getting in the big pool with the big kids and swimming like crazy. IMO.
