I would imagine in a tight market where two companies hold the majority of the market share that neither one of them would want to allow the other to gain control of the newest innovation in TAVR. Especially not one that has been built with the guidance of prestigious TAVR Drs and by experienced TAVR engineers with the sole aim of addressing existing flaws. Mainly calcification, durability, positioning, delivery, French size, crimping, cost of manufacture and a valve that is anatomically correct and works much like the one we were born with.
DurAVR with Adapt tissue and a new delivery system does just all these things (some testing still to go obviously). However, In my opinion this breakthrough device will be very hot property in a massive global TAM.
DYOR and Not advice.
