Yes JMS management have very wisely spun off the iron ore business to join in the wealth creation that involvement in iron ore in a jurisdiction like Western Australia can deliver for JMS shareholders - through its controlled entity Juno Minerals. And fantastic news they have announced they want to expand with more iron ore projects. Smart move -quite obvious JMS are now aware of the wealth that can be created by being involved in iron ore.
There are more billionaires in Western Australia as a result of their involvement in iron ore than you can poke a stick at - sadly I think you will struggle to name one person who has ever became a billionaire mining manganese -except perhaps the odd Russian oligarch.
Manganese is the real casino - a commodity that major mining companies like South 32 who have been mining in the Kalahari for 50+ years want to quit. Yep they want out of manganese in South Africa.
Rest easy mobius 76 - once Juno is producing iron ore with profit margins far in excess of what is possible with manganese you will have the best of both worlds and you can retire to St Tropez.
