My understanding is the management systems are smart enough to analyse a household's usage and release surplus stored energy from the batteries if there is more than expected to be required by the household. This gives you the choice of deciding whether you want to run an aircon or not depending on the rate the surplus energy can be sold at. Take a look at the VPP trading opportunities becoming available.
