My mother has one of those duress alarms that are monitored by some call centre with a few numbers of relatives/friends listed to call if need be.
On one occasion, she somehow pressed it (inadvertently). An ambulance arrived. The ambulanceman said 'false alarms' occur fairly often.
This technology may avoid that scenario?
