I can't see this raising more than a million or so, but that's presumably all they're looking for, otherwise they'd have done a raising and/or rights issue as well. A nice present for small shareholders and employees, anyway!
The share price has pushed as high as it did only in the last week, and on thin volumes, so it's not surprising that it's retreated in the face of a share purchase plan at a solid discount.
I sold my small holding at 77c and will probably purchase a slightly larger holding in the SPP.
