    thanks - I really hope if you got out earlier then now that you put the money to work somewhere better..certainly many opportunities...

    I understand this company has hurt allot of people with its actions and I kindda feel like I'm poking salt in a wound -- this is not my intent, rather I'm not as street smart as most of you guys seem and I'm just trying to figure it out my own way.

    trust me I'm not ignoring the advice - I am actually in my way trying to follow the advice 'work it out for myself' and do the research' and just trying to tease out what other people's views are as I do this and applying logic

    I appreciate all comments even if I'm left with imagery of burning haha... I have a deep respect for anyone willing to take the time to write something genuine to help someone else out....I'll ignore any digs or pokes though haha

    To be honest Tom made some early reasonable comments that made me think, for instance he made a comment that the signs were there earlier (...and investigating I can see what looks like a number of ...interesting results reporting periods which smack of issues..particular the last one before the halt. but yeah it's a hindsight thing and yeah it came from me briefly looking at the bottom line (a profit made) and not understanding the industry, the reported write down and other aspects (just listening to a mate and seeing a fat dividend was clearly not a good strategy)

    toms other comments on 'creative accounting' does leave me thinking how creative did they get...I know anyone else at this point would be like...who cares, you'll never find out!! they just messed up etc...

    however call me nuts but part of the motivation to understand their exact mistakes is to help me make an informed decision to sell /hold / avg down and park..in short is the whole company useless now or will some 'cutting' able it to rise from the ash..in one to two years

    soul searching and looking at the chart ... yeah ok this thing is much more likely to tank...BUT

    what is done is done - fortunately for me even if the company goes to $0 from here it's just a couple of $K loss for me (in an otherwise bumper year, it's just a bit of a bummer loss.. but yeah I don't care, would rather keep stake in game to motivate myself to learn and take more away in education then money);

    hence my questions are not out of disrespect for the comments and thoughts, it just me working out what I'll do next and sharing this process out of respect for those who take the time to respond.

    clearly I need to do a bit more research, but so far I've got enough of a picture that this industry is a... unique beast like no other -- like I'm across a few industries now, but this is... difficult.. As I get some more time to research more I'll go back over toms comments and everyone's and check my logic - it's greatly appreciated and one the reasons I joined HotCopper.

    so now I'm speculating a bit (pls don't take offence if it seems I'm ignoring advice, I'm just evaluating a possibility, that for my unique situation I can do)-- for instance if the creative issue was made by just a few vs.. say a systemic issue and come the next election the current leadership team is out (and how could they not be?? unless a large holder with vote power is aware of other things here) then it is in fact possible to become a working company again and earn some trust back over time and with a new leadership team.. heck it does happen sometimes, i have seen it..

    so for me (just me in my unique spot) it's more of a question how dead is this company? do companies in this industry make these kinds of mistakes often? do they recover...at this point I'm convinced my next move is to do nothing and watch...
