Just poking my head in to say hello. I have been lurking here for a few months. Pretty much a rank amateur playing with piddly amounts of money. I bought a few shares with some birthday money because I was looking for something a bit different and 3D modelling based. MYQ wasn't quite what I had in mind but the concept surprised me and I could see lots of potential.

I have since discovered that 3D avatars is a massive research field, particularly in the applications side. Lots of the discussion seems to center around apparel and tele-health but it will be revolutionary for design of prosthetics, planning of surgery, gaming, sports coaching, etc.

It makes me wonder how there are not many more companies commercializing this kind of thing? Any ideas why it is such an uncrowded space? Or are there similar prospects/products out there? I can't imagine how anybody could commercialize something similar at scale without listing and raising funds.

Anyway, nice to meet you all and hopefully I'll learn something about shares and finance as I go along, although I don't expect to retire on the proceeds.
