    TheGerman Volkswagen Group is preparing to invest tens of billions of euros in theconstruction of several battery systems in Europe.

    The Czech Minister of Industry and Trade, KarelHavlíček, confirmed to Hospodářské noviny that the government is negotiatingwith the car manufacturer about the construction of one of the plants in theCzech Republic.

    “We are discussing thisintensely. It is related to the afEZ Gigafactory project, which I consider tobe one of the priorities and a key investment in the years to come. We must notmiss this opportunity. We are also observing the link to lithium mining, althoughnot It is a condition, but it would be an excellent chain, “said Havlíček. Ashe added for HN, they want to decide this year.
