Nothing wrong with balance sheet, I would suggest you read the terms of EOS Loan Plan if you are concerned. The loan is from a Trust to the employee with the shares being held until the vesting conditions are met including repayment of the loan. The company issues the shares to be held by this trust. It effectively works as an options incentive scheme, the structure is just different. The company does not take on any additional liability.
