the Australian has had a long running (since Seven made its intentions of going to court clear) campaign to besmirch Seven and its handling of the cricket broadcasts -it has delighted in spruiking Fox's audience numbers and belittling Seven's, and the court case , plus Sevens reason for it etc etc. That article referenced is fairly neutral- which has not been the case!
It rejoiced at the only $5m reduction that Seven was awarded ( which is still pretty significant - depending on costs to date of the court case) . I believe SWM and the CEO are on the right track and will get a bigger victory with the Cricket fees
Cricket Australia have really trashed the big bash in particular, but all the stuff about the test cricket - I suspect it is not as clear cut, but scheduling has obviously been an issue- I know The Oz has pointed out top ratings on the final test, but that does not tell the whole story -and advertisers making bookings would not have known that it would be a nailbiter beforehand
