firstly, it's clear you skipped the growth investment chapter of your investment for dummies book.

secondly, you obviously missed your applied finance classes, and also forgot to enrol in economics

thirdly, and thanks (in part) to the above, you've also disallowed yourself the fundamental knowledge of understanding economies of scale.

fourthly, I am glad narrow minded baby boomers exist, as it allows for a much easier transfer of wealth

if one is not making heavy returns in the largest running, most explosive bull market in history, then perhaps it's time to consider broadening, changing or diversifying ones investment thesis
