In my mind this product isn't for grey nomads - they want to get away from being plugged in and can wait for the next cell tower.. its for the guys that work on shipping vessels for long period of time. or the fisherman. or park rangers that are in the bush for a week on week off. those that are out of contact for long period of time to justify the subscription. i go overnight bushwalking out of mobile reception maybe three/four times a year ... (a lot more than mostly everyone I know) i certainly wont be buying a satellite communicator... I do it to get away from it all.

I think Beam really needs to think about removing the monthly fee to suspend the subscription. If i needed one to stay in touch because of work - I would go the in reach for that reason alone. I'd be happy to pay more up front i think. and although the convenience of the app would sway me i don't think it would be enough.

I think the revenue will keep growing (slowly) though and I'm holding for the moment. GLTAH
