There’s still a use case for grey nomads. It’s a question of safety. What do you do if your camper van breaks down in a remote area without cell reception...? That’s why I’d be buying a Zoleo, it’s a potential life saver / get out of jail card.
I agree though, I’m not a fan of suspension fee. The way I read their website you can deactivate your Zoleo and not pay the suspension fee but you won’t retain your sent messages etc - so would need to pay the reactivation fee again if you want to use the product on an ad hoc basis. Seems a bit rich. Maybe they need to re-look at their pricing model.
