Sat phones cost a lot more to begin with, both the hardware and plans from what I can see. It ultimately depends how life threatening the situation is, if it’s life or death Zoleo has the SOS functionality, if it’s non life threatening I’d msg a family member and seek their assistance. But each to their own.
I agree though - I think they need to re-look at their pricing model. That said, if they finally release some numbers and they are good then I’ll take my slice of humble pie. At this stage though we have no ARPU or churn figures to gauge whether their pricing model is successful or not
