I find it intriguing that after 300m of drilling and only halfway through a reservoir, this was determined to be a good point to pull out and run wireline logs over half a reservoir. Why not drill out this reservoir section and then run logs prior to drilling on to primary target?
My guess is either something happened to the BHA that required a manual alteration (I don't think a bit dulls after 300m) or they saw something on LWD or at the shakers they they want a closer look at ASAP.
