    In regards to the exercising of options, could someone please explain to me why this won't result in any 'short term dilution'?

    The way I see it, if options are exercised, then new shares will be issued. This will in turn increase the number of shares on offer. If a person doesn't increase their share holding accordingly, then wouldn't this result in a dilution of their share holding, given that the are now holding a smaller percentage of the total shares outstanding. Am I looking at this the wrong way?
