You might want to look closely at the terms of your agreements with your broker and possibly also at changing brokers as they seem to be in an arrangement where your shares are somehow part of their "risk" - which indicates to me that they are probably a broker where you do not actually have title to the shares - in which case if they go bust you may lose your investments....it happened to clients of some firms during the GFC.
