So those of you that are not aware of index rebalancing can learn from this.
Basically when a share is added to an index fund managers often have to buy some of it to replicate the index. In this case BRN market cap is very high compared to the shares it is replacing and it will be relatively high in the All Ords on Monday morning. So as the fund managers know that (and many of us mortals know it) then they buy accordingly. I topped up on BRN as soon as the rebalance was published. This always happens. Dont add on the last day before it goes live as that is like today was. Last week or last month were great times to top up.
