I'm not disappointed. I'm patient. However, I can understand why investors are disappointed. It's due to the comparative share price returns when you plot Telstra against other cyclical/ industrial stocks.
I am confident of their dividend policy over the next 3 years and it is probably one of the few stocks that you can positively gear (i.e. divs. should not be slashed by 25%+ like the banks)
The way I see it, this is a defensive stock and should outperform when the market is weak. 8.0%+ div yield, does not require much capital growth for you to be ahead when TLS is trading under $3.20.
That said, TLS is not one for thrill seekers.
