Anyone who claims the "problems" have got smaller since the 80's need to get out a bit. . It is worse all over Australia.... Why..... well IN MY OPINION it is because everyone has ran out of guts to address it. Since the 80's, EVERY State, plus Federal has had many elections..... and none have fixed anything.
Earlier than the 80's there was a brand new suburb outside Taree, in NSW.... called Purfleet ..... Ask members that know the era what happened to the brand new paling fences, followed by some inside walls, followed by the brand new floors..... and what was done about it.... nothing except replace at OUR expense. Call in at Marble Bar, go for a drive around town, do the same in Hedland, How about a lovely night time walk around Coober Pedy. . It is getting WORSE every month, let alone year...... and if Governments won't address it.... piss them off till we get someone that will.
