I think 10kWh is a reasonable size for current markets which are only just waking up to batteries. Grid scale batteries are a very recent phenomenon and have an unknown market at this stage. And as someone said above, a big unit failing is going to have major consequences, whereas a small unit failing may barely be noticed. In grid applications, this could be a big issue.
