Reason so many countries round the world can be so self righteous about carbon is because they source their energy need via nuclear power.
Australia would more than halve its Carbon footprint if it generated power via nuclear and it would be low cost because we have plenty of fuel. Germany is banging on about reducing its number of reactors however they buy power from France(generated by nuclear).
