A leader who is not as popular as his counterpart does not necessarily mean his partly will not win.
I think latham will bring out a Robin Hood style budget just before the actual election & appeal to the great unwashed like never before. Sure, most of them vote for him anyway but he only needs a small swing.
There is no doubt that many are "tired " of the libs & would "like a change " If they are prepared to risk it or not .... still up in the air.
My belief is the whole thing is finely balanced with a labor gvt. being the most probable outcome.
