Yes, the register is a bit of a hodgepodge of unknowns. Anyone know anything about any of the top 20, other than Mr Ross and the other obvious ones?
CEO departure last month is a bit of a mystery. He had done a great job ramping the SP to above 9 cents. Also delivered drilling, YB resource and the ED acquisition.
Money outlay needed to get into production is a major unknown, as is almost everything else (production rates, S/R, mining cost, processing cost), that will allow an attempt at a simple financial analysis to generate an NPV for a production case at YB.
This should all be obvious, but re timeline to production, before mining can start they will need:
- A feasibility study (lots more drilling etc. to get resource to bankable confidence, plus 100s of hours of engineering)
- Environmenttal baseline studies
- EIA approval and other permits
- Funding to cover start-up capital
- An off-taker lined up (ideal, not essenttial)
- An x month period to build/install a processing plantetc. etc.
With that in mind, there is no way YB/ED produces metal at anything above pilot/test throughput rates before 2023. At the earliest.
Also, the company seems a bit bi-polar. Flitting between wanting to be an exploration/development company and a producer. And not clear if chasing iron (magnetite) or even looking to become a copper-gold (exploration) play with ED.
Overall: def floundering, but MC somehow still sitting at $60 million.
