"...do you think we’re seeing FOMO really playing out?"

By the time this goes to press it may not be as relevant, however, will post my thoughts anyway.

Got to thinking after initial post and remembered a point which is now blatantly obvious.

Sure there is an element of FOMO, but I believe the recent rises are due to NEW MONEY. (told you it would be obvious)

This is different to the FOMO accumulators who have been here for awhile and top up now and then at pay packet time or even kill a dog investment to reapply here.

New money is coming from new knowledge; "I got a mate that knows a bloke who overheard someone say this was a good bet....". New people are coming on board through word of mouth.

Recent media hasn't exactly been quiet about the lithium revolution. While that may sound remote regarding LSA, if someone stumbles onto LTR, either via Katheen Valley (lithium), or Moora (Au Cu Ni PGE), they will invariably hear of Lochlan Star. Hence new money. I believe that's where the recent action is coming from.
